The Dobcross Village Community (DVC) have organised a very special musical concert in the fantastic surroundings of Holy Trinity Church on 12th November. Tim Newbold of the DVC says, “We have managed to get a tremendous line-up of talented musicians and singers - every one a champion. It will be a great privilege to have so many performers of such high calibre performing for us on one evening right here in the village. It promises to be a very special night to remember”

The Cottontown Chorus - The 50-strong reigning British Champion Barbershop Chorus’s great sense of fun and their unique style of vocal entertainment has gripped audiences for over 30 years.

The Northern Brass Collective - Brass quintet formed by members of Brighouse & Rastrick, the National British Brass Band Champions. The line up includes their first ever female member, Saddleworth’s very own Laura Hirst!

Absolution Saxophone Quartet - Award winning young ensemble, formed at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2006. The group are winners of the 2009 & 2010 Trevor Wye Memorial Prize & the RNCM Chamber Music Prize earning them the title ‘RNCM Ensemble of the Year 2009’.

World Champion Whistler David Morris - Mr Morris will compere the evening and treat us to a selection from his impressive virtuoso repertoire of whistling masterpieces.
